We believe the most enduring houses feel as though they’ve always been there.

Led by Principal Jason VanWarren, Ellsworth Home restores historic homes and designs new ones rooted in traditional architecture and shaped for contemporary life.

From the start, architecture, interiors, and landscape are conceived as one. We consider how a home sits on its site, how light moves through its rooms, and how materials and textures shape the experience of space.

Good design isn’t decoration. It’s intention. We begin by listening to how you live and what you value most, then translate those rhythms into homes that flow naturally and age beautifully. Houses you grow into, never out of.

We don’t impose a signature style. Each home is shaped by its people and its setting. What remains consistent is our sensibility: refined, comfortable, and deeply livable, where every detail earns its place.

Innovation shows up in quiet ways. With today’s tools and materials, we build with greater comfort, durability, and efficiency, while preserving character.

When everything comes together, the result is greater than the sum of its parts.

You are home.

Our Studio

Ellsworth Home is based in Sharon, Connecticut and New York City, with projects from the Hamptons to Cape Cod and select commissions across the U.S. We take on a limited number of projects each year so we can stay closely involved from first concepts through completion.

Principal Jason VanWarren brings an integrated approach to architecture, interiors, and site planning, shaped by senior roles at acclaimed firms. He served as a partner at Rees Roberts + Partners and worked on residential projects with Jacques Grange in New York.

Jason believes a well-designed home is more than a collection of beautiful spaces. It should reflect the people who live there and elevate everyday moments. With a master’s degree from the Florence Design Academy in Italy, he brings a disciplined, classically grounded perspective to architecture and interiors.

Jason’s work has been featured in Dwell, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, New England Home, Luxe, Interior Design Magazine, Litchfield Magazine, Maine Home + Design, among others.

Whether you’re restoring a historic property or building a new home, we’d welcome a conversation.
